Our History
1986
Established
Our history dates back to 1970s, when our founders worked in the footwear and medicine businesses. In 1986, The Agrawal’s ventured into the hardware and furniture industry with hadles made in Aligarh and Delhi, and Collins India was born.
1993
Expansion
In 1993, Collins designed and manufactured its very own line of handles for the first time and introduced the range at a furniture trade fair in Mumbai.
The creative satisfaction and quality control transpired into business because gradually, Collins started growing beyond the borders of Mumbai.
1998
Pan India Presence
By 1998, Collins India was the official distributor for several European handle companies in India, including Siro and Linea Cali. Collins merchandise was visible with retailers across India, crossing over 300 sales points.
1999
Collins Crystal
Our collaboration with Swaroski led to Collins Crystal, handles embedded with pieces of Swaroski Crystals.
These handles went on to become the flagship product for the company and are still in vogue, some 20 years later.
2000
International Expansion
With the turn of the millennia, the Company tapped into the potential of the export market and set up its first international office in Dubai, and a new chapter began.
2004
ACS
Within a few years after establishing a pan India presence, Collins
merchandise was being exported to more than 15 countries via its Dubai
office. Along with the global expansion, the Company took its first step towards glass and furniture hardware accessories under the brand ACS.
2012
Collins Class
2012 saw the introduction of the Collins Class product line at the same furniture trade fair in Mumbai, which went on to shape the trends in designer hardware in India for the next decade.
2018
Collins Wardrobes
Having an experience in the modular industry for 30 years and international associations, Collins advanced into the retail of modular wardrobes with its Flagship store in Mumbai.
The Company believes that the complete solutions business will help us in keeping face with the ever changing lands scape of the furniture industry.
2021
Collins Pro
In 2021, Collins introduced the PRO series. PRO caters to high end projects where the architectural hardware needs to be fire rated and EN certified.
2021 we also moved to a larger display space in Mumbai and multiple locations across the country.
2022
Collins Profiles
In 2022, the Company has started working towards a dedicated line for supplying partition systems and fabrication of profiles, as we feel that the future of the interiors industry will have a lot of profiles and glass.
